There's only 200# SD and a few snails/polyps/live sand I got from Don. Yea, it's a bit cloudy.

It looks like nuclear fallout in there. :D
How much has it cleared up since you first added the sand?

It cleared up after I turned off powerheads. Let it sit 2 days, then turn 1 PH back on, clouded a bit but was clearer then it is now. Turned ph back off, I think it will be clearer by morning and I'll turn it back on. There's a real fine powdery sand on the surface that is very easily kicked up.

If you don't have a turkey baster, I'd get one tomorrow. They are wonderful for blowing that powdery sand off rocks and stuff.

I think so. It's been officially promoted to dust blowing :D

It never gets used anyways. A single man doesn't cook much :o

I use a powerhead to do all my dust blowing

OMG that would make it so much worse for me. That would be a lil overkill until I get my DSB going.

Have you got your sump made yet Richard? My sump is looking good...should have it all in place after today...just need to glue the baffles and drill a few bulkhead holes.

How much LR are u gonna put in your tank? Just curious. You better order some rocks at Jeff now on that special. Marshall Island is the most expensive rock for rock bottom prices!!!! BTW, are they done with your sump yet??? You oughta look at my semi DIY sump. It's nice. I made a compartment for refugium and it also serves as a trickle filter incase I go FOWLER (not to be mistaken with Fowler the car dealer). Acrylic is fun and easy to work with...I have alot of fun doing it...I need a digital camera if u wanna see it online.

Fun? Wanna come over and finish it? :D j/k

I got some extra acrylic pieces so I can design the inside, also need to make a hold for the bulkhead.

Sure Richard, when u want me to come over and help ya build it? I'm off Monday. Oh, you and I can work on the canopy together since I haven't started on mine yet. You can come to my house if you need help with the design. It's real neat. I've made everything for any contengency.(eg probe holder, float valve, wet/dry, baffles, refugium..all in one sump).

Thanks a bunch for the offer. I didn't see the msg until almost everything is done. How's your plumbing? hehe. All I have left is the plumbing, doing the lighting tomorrow.

Thanks I call it the neculear fallout effect. It was hard work to get it just right but well worth it.
