overflow size

I have a simple hang on type overflow. I am looking at getting a new skimmer and have a simple question. Well, for some but I can't make heads or tails of it. My siphon tube is 1 1/8 inside diameter. How much flow can I get thru the tube? I am wanting to get around 300 gph. The drain is alot larger and not worried about that. Just the siphon tube. All help is greatly appreciated.

generally you could push up to 700gph trough this tube, so 300gph should be fine
