Durango, the "reef ready" designation means that there are built-in overflows and drilled holes in the bottom for connecting to a sump. Without the overflows, you would need overflow boxes for skimming water such as the one brad has listed (you will probably want more than one for a tank this size both for volume and protection against a blockage)

It’s the All-Glass Aquarium brand and yes it's Tempered glass. Most of the models in their line up is tempered glass.
