algae bloom?

i'm still really new to all this. what happens when this happens? tops of my live rock is covered with a brownish algae and also on the white sand. is there somthing i'm supposed to be doing?

It's just part of setting up a new tank and you really can't do much until the cycle is done. Then you can add snails and other clean up crew members to help with the algae.

ok just wanted to make sure. i've got a bunch of damsels in there. trying to keep everything going for a little bit before i add the good stuff
