View Full Version : Can anyone identify this

Last night we lost power when we went to check the tank with a flashlight we saw all of these swimming around on the bottom of the tank.
The larger ones (possibly adults) were not swimmng all that much but the smaller ones were all over.
We tried to get a photo of them this is the best we were able to to.

Well the bottom one looks like an amphipod. It's too blurry to really see the other.

how big are they? it looks like copepods......? maybe mysid shrimp....?

Pictures too fuzzy to be sure but if I had to guess, I'd say they are amphipods.
Copepods are really little!

There are many other kinds but these are the only ones I've been able to take pics of.

thanks Debi. i guess i was thinking amphipod and got them confused.
