Your sohal doesn't bother anything reef in your tank?
She looks awesome, how big is he?

She occasionally flips an Astrea on its top by accident but no, never hurts a thing. Shes very active and curious. If I move a coral she nips algae off the base while I hold it. When I use the mag float she likes to nip the loose algae on it while I slide it across the glass. She eats seaweed select from my finger tips. No vegi clip needed! She chews it down then I just give her the rest of the piece... I'm not really a fish guy per say but she's a cool fish. About 3.5", still young.

Let's See More Pics!!

Awesome pics

I was under the impression Sohol Tangs were for big tanks, I've got a 125 and would love to have one about the size of TREG's but should I even attempt.

TREG where did you get yours? That would be about the size I would want because my other tangs are small also.

Awesome pics:rollface:

A sohal needs at least 6' swimming room. I got a juv. about 8 months ago, he was about 2" when i got him. He's easily 6+ now. I got mine from saltwaterfish.com back when they had a sale.

Thanks for that,
I'm pretty sure I'm gonna stick with my instinct and not get one. Heck if nothing else could you rent me sitting space for say a couple hours? LOL

Anyone else with these?

Rockker that is awsome. I had a clarkii hosting in a condy too. But alas, clarkii got old and died last week.....at the ripe age of 5. and she was HUGE!! biggest clown I've ever seen. I wish I'd taken pics when I had the chance.

Saving in jpeg?
Reduce the quality some. MS Paint saves in pretty low quality.
With my Photoshop elements 2.0 I save @ about 6.

hey jet fuel,

besides pixel width, you can also reduce colors used. I like reducing to 32K colors (vs "millions and millions" that cameras use)....but for internet, you can sometimes get away with a setting of 256......but thats pushing it. depends on the colors. but thats the easiest way to keep your file size managable.

and yes..photoshop rules, i use it everyday at work. but ms paint and paintshop pro are decent for simple stuff like web pics. in fact, i prefer paintshop pro over photoshop when preping pics for the web. i've only played with elements briefly...but it has all the basics.

my final tip, save as png. smaller than jpg. need smaller? use a very slight gaussian blur, it'll shave off a few kb.

ok here's my first attempt at photographing my tank. I have to do top down until I get the new tank up. Thought the ripple effect was nice on this one.http://reefcentral.com/gallery/data/500/12002clown-ripple-2.jpg

First of all, a .png file is not smaller than a .jpg, even with a .jpg set on the highest quality. You also don't need to Gaussian Blur if you save thing right. This will only decrease the quality of your image. There is no better image tool than Photoshop. It gives you the most control over your images. All other image based programs are worthless compared to what you can do in Photoshop.

Thanks Norm! :D

Him and the Tang are buddies. He follows her around the tank like a puppy dog.
They also like to play tug of war with Seaweed Selects.

Wheres your pics Norm??

I am not too good yet with the tank photos, but here's my offering to the thread.
My fish are having a boardmeeting to decide why lightening is flashing indoors.
