snails

ok i have a gravel on the bottom of my tank

but i went down to the beach and found sum snails in the sand are they ok in my tank or do they need sand

If they were living in the sand, they likely need sand. Of course, hard to say if you don't know what they are.

I wouldn't put any snails in your tank from the beach without researching them first. There are lots that are predatory on other inverts and corals, and some that have very specialized diets that we can't give them in an aquarium.

It isn't worth it to kill off your reef just because you can get free snails. :)

i took the snails out and put them in a little container until i can get all of the snails out and then take them back to the beach
