Refugium stocking

I have a 90 gallon for display
I have a 55 gallon I am planning to use as a Refugium
Setting behind and above the 90
Using an extra over flow box to surface skim the 90 ,500gph
Pump the water into the 55 then have it drain back into the 90

How dose cheato sound for the algae
What are the some of the best things to put in the fudge?
To breed and feed the main aquarium
Glass shrimp?
Snails?
Peppermint shrimp?
Any feed back would be great

I like walnuts in my fudge. :lol:
But in a fuge I would put in liverock, sand and some Marco (cheato grows like weeds!).
