Button Polyp help.

Do Button Polyp open and close several times a day? I placed them in the tank Saturday Night, all was fine. Now they seem to open and close throughout the day. Is this normal? All my parameters seem to be fine.

they can still be acclimating to new lighting and water flow, that would be my guess.

They could be snagging some food or maybe something is bumping them and causing them to close.

I agree with Misfit. They close when they grab food.

This is normal, you might have a hermit walk by which could make them close.
