Does anyone use the Euro-Reef ES Series skimmer? I would post a link to a merhchant but not sure if that is allowed. Any opinions on the skimmer. Is it worth the money? Is there better out there? Will probably be used in a 130 gallon.

I have the Euro Reef CS8-1. The best price I found was at http://www.premiumaquatics.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=EURO It is the best skimmer that I have owned. You can also see a skimmer comparison at http://www.marinedepot.com/aquarium_protein_skimmers__index.asp?CartId=

If you are willing to spend the money Euroreef is one of the best you can get. If you want similar performance without spending as much try ASM. You can find them at:

I really like my ES5-3. Blows away any skimmer I've previously had.

I use it on a 38 gal. with 30 gal. sump

you think that's enough for your big tank? maybe you should consider a bigger model

i have a cs6-1 on a 135g and it simply skims like kkkkrazy even though it's underrated for my tank.

I have a CS8-2 on 250gl system volume. I does a great job and it fits nicely in the sump. Also. it is very easy to use and adjust.

I have the ES5-2 on my 90 gallon tank in a 30 gallon sump... it works great... a Protein skimmer is definately something you should not skimp on ... the the best performing one you can for what you can afford. You will be much happier down the road

I have both the aqua c and the euro reef. The euro reef is hands down the best. The next one i purchase will be the euro reef. No fuss plug and play.
