Mag 9.5 in a closed loop?

i was wondering if a mag 9.5 would be too much for the set up like Melev's? its going in a 55 gallon tall.

I think you would be fine, it would be great with a SCWD too!
Keep in mind, you loose at least 20% of flow to a SCWD and some more to your pipe and fittings so the more pump the better.

well i do know all the info and instructions , i'm jus new at flow and i was wondering if the mag 9.5 would be too much for fishes and certain softies. thanks

If you set it up like Marc's you are going to get about 800-850gph. That will be fine for a 55g IMO but you might have to seperate the returns in a couple so all the flow doesn't come from one point.
