I have recently added a huge colt coral to our reef. It is really floppy. I put it about half way up on my rocks and it looks like it's base is seperating from the rock it was stuck to. The branches on it kindof hang down. Are these things supposed to stand up?? Would it be happier if I burried the rock it is stuck to in the sand??? Any ideas on how I can make this thing not flop over??

I always check liveaquaria.com for info on corals. Even if you don't buy from them it's always a good and quick resource for information.

Hope this helps.

I have a large one also. I just moved it to a different location that did have that much flow and it flopped like you're describing. Colts like flow. It worked for me

Good advice mentioned above... also how long has it been in your tank ? It just may take a little time to get used to it's new place.

Thanks for the advice. I just moved one of my power heads to increase the flow arount the colt.
