I have a bunch of these guys on the front and sides of my tank. They are about the size of the head of a pin with multiple legs to make a star shape. I would post pictures but they are to small to get a good picture.

It does not look like any pod pic I have ever seen. Still searching.

Remember that the word 'pod' is about as unspecific as the word 'animal'. They come in many, many shapes and sizes.

Here's a great article about them: http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2004-08/rs/index.htm

Do they move around, or are they stationary? Maybe you could do a simple line drawing of one to give us a better idea of what they look like. The fact that they're star-shaped is interesting...
Good Luck

OK after getting the magnifiying glass out these things bodies are round with about 10 to 12 tentacles of varing lengths coming off the body. They do not appear to be moving but the legs or tentacles are flowing with the water movement.

Hydroid jellyfish. They don't seem to cause any harm and will eventually go away on their own.

Thanks greenbean you might be correct. The descriptions I have read seem to be just what I have. Do you know of any links to pictures of theese?

Here is a picture taken by erik921 that shows them. They normally don't look so flat. http://reefcentral.com/gallery/data/500/12281Hydroid_Jellyfish.JPG
