View Full Version : 10g acrylic where to buy?

I'm building a sump and refugium, just wanna know where can i buy acrylic 10 gallon that I can drill for overflow. Petmart has cages but says can't filled with water any help is appreciated.

if your handy you could make one for about 45.00. lowes sell's 2ft x 4ft sheets for 35.00. weld-on cement is 6.00 and a tube of silicone is 4.00. acrylic is simple to work with, with some basic tools. some clamps and a table or circular saw is all you really need.

Thanks for the reply, I will build it my self and spend 45 bucks. Nothing better than building things on your own. Hopefully it won't be to hard.

just do some research on the internet. the most valuable tip i can give you (learned from experiance) is DO NOT LET ANYBODY SCORE AND SNAP YOU'RE ACRYLIC. cut it with a circular or table saw. this way you get square flush ends that glue and seal much better. when glued correctly with the weld-on cement and everything is square and flush you should not need any silicone.
