now i have been considering setting up a 75g rr. It only overflows 600gph
i have read quite a bit about it. i'm just more confused. They use to say you don't need a protien skimmer. It takes out the trace minirals. Now their pro series replaced the bioballs with a sock filter and HAS a skimmer.
If money not an issuse should I try it out to see what happens.
Iv'e read nothing but praise about it in reefcentral.com seems the people bashing it don't even own one..
How would you set it up. would you use the bio balls? would you use the skimmer or not? is the mud really good to use as a filter.
i would like to have alot of corals and propagate and a few fish. Is this possible. would you check parameters other then Alk., PH,and calcium.
could i really achieve no nitrates in the tank. How have the systems you've seen with ecosystems look. bad good? is it just a gimmick?
how does it compare to the berlin method or just a refugium with sand
thanks, Adley Eastridge
