Help! Broke Heater.

Okay, so I thought I was going out tonight and was rushing through a water change. I broke one of the heaters in my sump. It was isolated to one section of the sump so I have stoped circulating water through that section. Is there anything I need to be aware of. Obviously the heater has been unpluged and removed. Is there anything inside that could contaminate the water or is it just strictly a heating coil. It is a Marineland Visi-Therm Deluxe 150w. Thanks in advance for any help.

If you got it before it shocked the water you should be okay. Look out for broken glass that could harm a pump. I recently had this happen and didn't catch it for a couple days. It killed every invert in my tank. Atleast that included the aptaisia.
