!!Large piece of salt creep fell in anemone!!

I was working around the rim of the tank and a large 1/2 by 2in peice of salt creep fell right into my BTA. ****!! :mad2: Of course it deflated. Right at the "burn" mark the area is clenched tight and and there appears to be a short strand of solid white flesh looking substance. That has me concerned. My clown seems aware of the situation. The clown is rubbing hard against the area and biting at it. Has anyone heard of this happening. Is this going to do damage to the BTA? Is there anything I can do?

I don't there's anything you can do but try your best remove as much as you can from it. Pointing a gentle powerhead stream at it may help to remove the remaining bits that aren't dissolved. Then treat like any other injury and keep water quality high. It'll recover.
