Ok I have finished building my stand and canopy for my 100G tank (pics in my gallery) and now need to figure out a good return setup. The tank has the standard glass piece in the middle of the tank and a 9"x5" dual 1" overflow in the back right corner. I am going to use a Quiet One 6000 pump for my return and want to get the best random waterflow that I can get. I do not want to spend too much money on this and would like to use my SCWD that I have. Please give me some suggestions on how to set the return up to get good random flow. I figured on the head loss calculated that my return would be at about 967GPH using 1 1/4" PVC but I know it will be a little less than that when I have to shrink the line to fit the SCWD and then enlarge it back to 1 1/4". Just let me know what you think. Thanks in advance.
