Bottle Trap

I want to make a trap for crabs/shrimp but I'm not sure how to get a 'clean' bottle. I peeled the label off of a 1L water bottle, but all of the adhesive is still stuck to the bottle. I can't seem to soak/scrape/peel the rest of it off.
