um ive got my 20 gallon hospital tank running some serious hypo salinity at the moment, the only issue is by diluting the tank water with RO is ive also cut down on my PH and ALK, how low can i go with a fish only hospital tank? ph is in the 7.8 range, and the alk is almost undetectable :(

just wondering how low i can go and how i can get it up if i need to?

this is a fish only, small blue tang, small lawnmower blenny, 2 small chromis, and one small snowflake eel

all seem to be doin ok, but i want to make sure everything is ok
thanks for your help :D

IMO, 7.8 is fine for a FO. If you want to raise it, try adding a small pinch of baked baking soda (bake it at 300 deg F for an hour). If one pinch doesn't raise the pH enough, pinch some more. :)

I don't think that fish in a hypo salinity treatment need any particular alkalinity level.
