What is the cheapest place to get salifert test kits? And do they sell a master kit? (ie: a volume discount)

If you go to MACNA, maybe Habib will give you one for free. :D

Beyond that, I don't know.

I have purchased them here: Don't know if it is the best price but they usually are as good as anyone else.

Thanks guys, i find most people are about the same on the salifert prices. The guy in the chemistry forum said that seachems are good too, so i might do a little mix n' match to keep the costs down

One other thing, do the kits really expire?

Yep. The reagents in the kits have a shelf life and loose potency over time making for inaccurate results. Keeping the caps screwed on tightly is important to keeping some of the agents fresh.

One of my BIG gripes with most of the test kit manufacturers is a failure to put expiration dates on their packaging. (Salifert started including expiration date stickers on their packages a little while back.)

The alkalinity kits ought to last much longer than most. There's not much that can go wrong with them, at least if kept closed.
