If a tank has been used to treat with copper is there any way of getting that copper completely out?
I have a 29 gallon QT that I treated once with copper in and then brought the level back to zero using activated carbon. I left the tank running for about a month and at the end of that month the copper level still read zero.
Is this tank safe for inverts?
Do I need to clean it with anything else to make sure all the copper is gone?

Why don't you add a couple of snails in their to see if they survive. This can be a good test. Do you have any sand or rocks in their? If yes, then they are no good.

IMO, you can adequately clean the tank and plastic devices in it. I don't think that you can clean sand, rock, or any minerals.

Here's a typical thread where we've discussed cleaning things of copper:

there are no rocks or sand or anything in it. I haven't been running it since I last treated and then I only had a couple of pieces of pvc in there.

Randy, thanks for the link, I'll definitely take a look at that later.

You're welcome.

Good luck with it. :)
