Supporting a 4x4x17" tank

I'm currently building a stand for my 4'x4'x17" glass tank. Wondering whether I can just support the edges of the tank and leave the center with no support.

Will that work? Thanks.

Yup, that's how they work. That's why there is trim on the bottom edges of the glass holding the bottom of your tank off of the stand.

How thick is the glass on that tank? Would mind putting up a picture of the tank? Those are some interesting tank dimensions.
