I read all the articles I could find (without confusing myself too much) and I think this is where I want to start getting my Alk/Calc in balance, but I just want to run it past here, first.

PH 8.2
Calc 355
Alk 3.15

According to this article (http://www.advancedaquarist.com/issues/nov2002/chem.htm) I fall in Zone 3, but not too far away from the border.

I believe the Alk is where it needs to be. Which should i dose with to get my calcium up? Kent Liquid Calcium, Kent Essential Elements, or the calcium part of the two-part additive B-Ionic?

Once I'm in the red-zone, I plan on using the balanced additive CalxMax and/or B-Ionic to keep it there. I'm not using any limewater or reactors.

Thanks!

If you just want to boost your calcium, you can use calcium chloride. Kent's turbo calcium is a good example of calcium chloride.

Here's a calculator to help you figure out how much to add.

The Liquid Calcium (a dissolved form of calcium chloride) or just the calcium part of the B-ionic are also fine choices. :)
