live rock

I recently read a discussion on live rock and its filtration aspects...it seems that, according to this author, if there is not an abudance of critters in the live rock and is relativly berift of coraline algae, its abilty to act as an effective filter is out the window. Has anyone gotten any live rock with the above specs? Don :)

yes,Go to your LFS. i have ordered live rock online 2 times and niether time was i satisfied.Some LFS will have it in a tub or vatt in back room I have found these to be "slim pickins",other stores will sell live rock right from display tanks it usally costs a bit more but is well worth it. hope this is some kinda help
