Is it worth it to buy a RO unit or RO/DI unit to setup my tank? I will be seting it up within a week, waiting on other parts to ship in. This will be a 75 with a 55 sump. What RO units are out there that wont break my wallet? I have read about the Kent marine ones from marine depot, any other suggestions? If I do use RO water initially would it save me trouble getting polutants out of the tap water?

Using RO or RO/DI water from the beginning just eliminates a lot of possible problems and I highly recommend it.
My unit is a Kent, but the cheaper ones are equally effective- Ebay has a good selection.

I would start off right and use purified water. As to brand, I am partial to SpectraPure, but others have been happy with others brands. A simple search for RO's should yield you names and websites.

I just found a USA Reef RP/DI unit on ebay for $70. Is this a good choice? Please let me know

I'd strongly reccomend the version with the pressure tank, it's only $20 more:

Obviously doesn't change the overall production rate of the unit, but makes it real convenient when you just want to grab a quick gallon for top off or other use - it'll come out in seconds instead of minutes.
Otherwise, that's a fine unit. RO membranes available to hobbyists all pretty much come from the same factory, so IMHO, there's no reason to spend a lot on a unit targeted at reef keepers.

I have that exact unit that I recieved and have been using for three weeks and I am happy with it. Got it from the same guy, same place.
