Found this hidden in the bargain bin :) Might be a new favorite. I'm sure you zoo nuts have them, but to find this here was a treat.

ewww, I like that :) I might want to wait and see if I can get them spreading before the naming....though they appear very healthy and my hopes are high!

Thanks guys/gals! I just took a new pic when I got home from work. Day 2 and they seem nice and healthy...oh and very LARGE polyps. Those are nice healthy quarter to half dollar sized ricodeas underneath for a size reference.

Hope I'm not out of line reposting the same zoo...but its a different and I think much better shot.

Fireworks! ;)

wow!!!!! no one that i know has those you found somthing that alot of people are going to want. take care of them i am sure once they grow out you can get some sweet stuff wiht trades. or maybe put a chilD THROUGH COLLEGE by selling frags from it. = )

Oh,, NO,,, you've never heard of...ummm.. VAMPIRE zoanthids, they are really,,,really deadly to ummm everything... corals, fish, dogs humans, you name it and they are expensive to get rid of.

What you should do is get in contact with a vampire zoa specialist to take them off of you hands....Ill do it free,, give-me, give-me, gimee,, no really I'll risk life and limb to protect you..

THEY ARE AWESOME!!!!! CONGRATS

those are the most amazing things ive ever seen!!! those are 2 colors i can see man!!! those are soo sweet!! i want them now for closer examinazin, they mite have some nudis on them so i gotta check it out, ill pm you my adress :D

Professional zo Namer here:

Call them Armaggeddon: The tiny spot in the center is the earth shattering, the red stuff around it is the molten core being expelled into space.

Does that make any sense?
