Howdy,

I recently cured about 45lbs of fiji premium in my new tank and during the middle to end of the cycle this algae began growing like crazy- not uncommong from what I understand of the cycle. Now, this stuff has take over a good deal of the rock and seems to be content to sit there. I was curious what it is and how to get rid of it. Thanks for your time and here are the specs-

55G
45lbs Fiji Premium
30lbs Gulf
40lbs Keys
3xMJ900
Aqua C Remora
3x110VHO 6500
1x110VHO Actinic

3xPepopermint shrimp (got today to fight Aptasia)
2x Lettuce Nudibranches (got today to eat some algae)
Hitchikers

Oh, right, how's about some pictures?

The second is more of a close up, the first shows what's happened to a rock...

Like in the movie the Abyss "keep your panty hose on!" haha

What kind of algae are you having problems with?
Is it hair algae or cyno?
