Hi Mike, I really like the new Tunze magnets--gives one flexibility of placement & ease of changing positions to suit your needs. I obtained my from Premium Aquatics. Bob

I dunno, I have frags six inches in front of a 6100 and they don't lose tissue at all...I've got two 6100's near the top corners pointing towards the center glass. I have an additional 6200 on the bottom left pointed towards the bottom center glass. Lots of flow, no tissue loss though. I run it about 100% to 30% w/the controller. What type of coral is losing tissue?

I use the Tunze rocks. They are nice, although right now they stick out like a sore thumb, because they are still new. In a few months, you won't even be able to tell they're there.

2 x 6100 in a 5x2x2 at either end of the tank aimed at each other .. set to pulse 30/100

Mike I place mine high, right below the teeth of the overflows. They're convenient to move up or down to adjust current flow that best for your reefscape. Bob

I have my Tunze rocks about 6" from each side, in about the middle of the tank heightwise, and each angled to point towards the front glass. The one on the right is aimed just right of center, and vice versa for the left one. This is the arrangement that was suggested to me by rvitko in the Tunze forum, and it seems to work pretty well.

I am going to upgrade also but looks like they will not have the parts until after the new yr.. I have mine on the ends of my 240 pointing at the glass pulsing 30-100%.. I have 2 OM HD 4 ways off an amp3 k for flow also... I am going to look into the mag also when they get more available..

People that use the magnets or the Tunze rock, what do you do with the cables? run them between the rocks and out? what about accessing them for maintenance? Can you put rock on top of the Tunze rock and still get them out?

Ramble, with Tunze magnets, one simply moves them up & removes the outside magnet. I position mine within arms reach for easy acessability & behind my reefwork. The Tunze rocks are nice in that the streams are hidden within the hollowed out ceramic rock. The disadvantage is that they need to be at the top of the reefscape for easy maintenance & cord appearance is more of a problem. Bob

I didnt think about just pulling the magnent up to access the tunze if they are on the bottom. but IMO, the cord is still a problem. I'll probably stick to keeping them at the top (if I decide to get them!).
