I do not have info on how to make one however I have one I can send you, it's a emperor aquatics venturi skimmer. It's 30 in tall, need a 500 gph+ pump like a mag 5 or larger to run it

The EAP Skimmer (http://archive.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=436525) is a venturi type skimmer I do believe. And as the name would suggest it's easy as pie to make. ;)

i found instrucitons to make one. i ahev a 55 my questions are how wide should i make the main body part? 4 ft tall? how big of a pump? how do i attach the collection cup? do i silicon the samll pipe that goews intothe top of the skimmer and into the collection cup to the skimmer and/or the collection cup?

how big should the piece the goes form the main body to the collection cup be. height? dia? also how sohuld i connect the pipe to the bottom of the collection cup and to the top of the main skimmer body? how should i make the collection cup come off the skimmer so i can clean it? and how should i make the top of the collection cup come off? and also i read on here somewhere the someone made a way that their skimmer split in half right inder the top of the main skimmer body for cleaning can anybody tell me how to do this? thanks
