Do you have a pic:)

This is probably the best pic (http://reefcentral.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=64053&papass=&sort=1&thecat=500) I have of the small rock at this time. I can try to get a better pic if you're interested in what you see. The rock is towards the top left side of the pic and has a snail on it in the picture. The rock has the green leather and the green star polyps on it as well as sponge that is unseen in the picture.

Nickeleye,
Are you looking to do any trading or just selling to get rid of some things. I'm interested in what I posted earlier.

Nickeleye
12/02/2004, 02:03 PM
I'm just interested in selling. I'm downsizing to a 12 gal. so I can only keep about 1/3 of my corals and two of my fish. Everything else is up for sale including the tank and lights once I get rid of livestock, rocks and sand.

I think I've got somewhere around 65-70 lbs. of the LR. About 75% of it is TBS rock and the rest is from one of my LFS's. Are you still interested in all of it?

Yes, that is a chiller, however I am going to be hanging on to that for use in any future larger SW tanks I do.

Yep, If you can work a little on the price I will take it all from you in one shot.

I also wanted to mention that if possible I'd like to sell the corals first, then the live rock and the sand shortly after. As far as a timetable goes ... I'm looking at about 3 weeks before getting rid of the sand and a couple pieces of LR just so that I can add corals into my nano without problems.

Just wanted to mention that currently no final commitments have been made on the above items for sale, but there has been interest so stake your claims before it's too late! (sounds like an infomercial...haha)

Nickeleye,
I'll take the Rainsford and Royal Grama and would like to see the hammer in person before making a commitment on it. I won't be available until next week though. Let me know what we can work out.

blown63chevy - Next week is fine. Just PM me with the details when you'd be available, etc. I'll mark the two fish as SOLD and the hammer on HOLD until you have a chance to look at it. I do have pictures of it in my gallery so that should give some idea. The hammer has four branches with tentacle/balloons - 3 large and 1 small. The large branches are approximately 3" in dia. when fully inflated and the smaller one is 1-1/2" to 2" in dia. when fully inflated.

Thanks. I've got to look at my tank and see where I can fit it. Also, how big aroung is the yellow leather. Might be interested in that one too. I'll PM you next week when I get back in town.

Nickeleye
12/03/2004, 12:50 PM
I would say that from base to top it's roughly 4-1/2" to 5". When fully opened up as in the pictures. I would say it measures roughly 5-1/2" in diameter. It is attached to a piece of LR probably about 1-1/2 lbs. or so... so if you took it you might just have to break the LR so the whole piece would be smaller in general.

Crusty Old Shellback
12/03/2004, 01:12 PM
Looks like I'll have to pass on it then. To big for the tank. Thanks.

Is anybody interested in taking the torch corals or yellow leather? These are the corals I'd like to sell off first if possible.

Let me know when you would like to come by this week to get the fish. I have someone interested in taking all of my LR from me on Wednesday or Friday (I'd prefer Wednesday) so if you were able to take the fish anytime after he takes the rock that would work out the best. The biggest reason I say that is because if you can wait until then, it'll be that much easier to get the fish out of the tank since they won't really have any good hiding places and it'd make it so I don't have to rip the whole rock structure down trying to find them. I had to do that once with a pseudochromis and it was a royal pain in the butt.

I will try to take a digital picture of the tank again without all of the live rock so it is easier to get a better idea of the size of the corals etc. I have them all spread out along the sandbed currently.

Todd - Thanks for the kind words

I just picked a goby, grama and shrimp on sat morning. Had a great conversation with Nickeleye while I was there. Fish seem to be doing fine in my tank otehr than the gramma has gone MIA into my rocks for a bit. He's got some good stuff for anyone who's looking for some corals.

Don't worry. The RG will come out. I'm sure it's just a matter of being a little wary of the new surroundings. BTW, looked at the rest of your pics in the gallery. Very nice indeed.

Nickeleye,
Finally saw the gramma to day. He's been hiding behind some of teh rocks in the back and I just couldn't see him. I actually saw him come out for a sec to grab some food. Wife is hapy now since she knows he's still alive. The goby is down low under some other rocks and I se him venture out a bit on occassion to feed. It will just take some time to adjust and let the other fish get used to them.

Next week I plan to have all of the corals out of the tank that I want to keep. Everything else will be for sale. I have a softball-sized pink branching leather that will also likely become an addition to the "for sale" list since I don't think I'm going to have room in the nano for it. Pictures are still up in my gallery, but I will take better ones once the tank has some more open space to set up the corals that are still for sale. I also still have the firefish goby and also several hermit crabs and snails.

Pink leather is definitely for sale as well as a green/pink star polyp rock.
