I like following places:

That Fish Place (http://www.thatpetplace.com/)

Drs. Foster and Smith (http://www.drsfostersmith.com/)

I have done far more ordering from That Fish Place than Drs. Foster and Smith, but I like them both!

I 2nd the www.premiumaquatics.com, excellent store...also for inverts and snails www.reeftopia.com is the best..www.marinedepot.com is good, but I live on the east coast and prefer premiumaquatics...
I use http://www.buckeyefieldsupply.com for all my RO/DI supplies
I am also fortune enough to have a very good LFS though and have no problems or regrets purchasing anything from him

I like www.drsfostersmith.com, I love there online chat, for info while you are surfing, also there price is not so bad. They also have one of the best return policy's I have seen........90 days on anything, even if used.
I just called them up last week and told them my Little Time And Temp was reading 4-5 deg. off, they said "no problem, we will pay to ship it back to us and ship you an new one"

Not bad considering It's 8 months old.

Marine Depot wants to charge you 10% plus shipping and once you use it you own it (even if it becomes defective)

Just my Experience. I'm sure people have had tons of good ones with M.D.

petsolutions.com can usually beat or match most all prices. Just register on their web sight and you'll see savings over their cataloge prices. Shipping was very quick and will be if you are in the midwest (they are in OH). They don't have the largest selection so you won't find the specialty stuff, but you'll find everything that you need to get started and then some.

I also order from all the others listed previously, but this one is good too.

I have used www.marinedepot.com and so far been pleased. One item that was sent was damaged in transit and they shipped another one out that day when I called them

www.bigalsonline.com has some really great prices, but I have never bought from them.

www.ah-supply.com also has some nice prices.

Good luck

I have ordered over $1,500 of items from That Fish Place (http://www.thatpetplace.com/) and only had a problem with one order. I had ordered a Coralife 96W 50/50 PC light fixture and when it arrived the bulb inside was broken. I called them and they shipped a new bulb out that day.

www.webaquatics.com is also another great site for picking up hardware. I have done a fair amount of business with them and have always been satisfied.

I think when it comes down to it, most of the major online vendors (That Pet Place, Drs. Foster and Smith, Pet Solutions, Marine Depot, Big Als Online etc...) are nearly the same as far as prices and polices go. The main differences you see are the types and brands of items available, sales prices, and services offered. For example, there are things I cannot get from That Pet Place but I can from Drs. Foster and Smith and the reverese is true. Recently I Drs. Foster and Smith had a sale on Emperor 400 cartridges at a box of 4 for $7.95, which is a price that is just incredible, normally I order those from That Pet Place.

I think you really cannot go wrong ordering from any of the large online vendors.
