Is it possible for 2 royal grammas to live in a 125 gallon together. Is 6 foot long and i thought they could work out their spots. I love these guys. There will be other fish in the tank too

thanks

Basslettes tend to be pretty aggressive. While royals are among the least aggressive toward other fish, I suspect they may get mean with other royals.

Sounds risky to me.

This is usually temporary, and if they happen to get aggressive, they have the option of easily separating them. You don't.. (unless you have a second tank) ;)

One male with a female or two could be OK.

I do have anthor tank so im going to try two of them and see what happens. If they fight then ill put one in the 125 and one in the 10 gallon reef.

I agree good luck trying to catch him. Adding 2 at the same time would be your best bet for them to get along.
Either way your going to do it regardless of the suggestions, so good luck.

Royal grammas can be find as pairs or harems in the nature so you can easily keep more than one. I am not sure if they can change sex however I know two males will fight but buying 1 big and few small ones usually work when people want to keep a royal gramma harem.

I have two in my 75 gal. They get along great. As ozadars said make sure to get a significant size difference.
