Cultured Rock

So I have this big, empty 75-gallon reeftank and no money.

I was wondering if, just to fill the tank and kill some time, it would be worthwhile to put a few pieces of live rock and some plain rock in the tank and let the live rock propogate the plain rock.

It seems that way I could get a bunch of live rock going, and maybe even some extra to sell/give away. Plus, I would not worry so much about being part of the habitat-destruction problem.

I know that propogating live rock is done all the time, just wondering how worthwhile it is.

What do you mean by plain rock? You're not talking about something from your yard are you?

Actually, I have these concrete blocks I found in my basement. :p

Of course not...they have various types of rock at the fish shop.
