Clown Shrimp, Lobster Q's

has anyone here had any experience with clown shrimp or lobsters? I was interested in them to put in my FOWLR set up Im planning on making..

Also how do i make a good substrate? I was planning on crished coral. But do i need regular sand too?

ive ahd a reef lobster for a while and think that they are great. never had any probs with him attacking fish unless they were in his space. the main prob is that you rarely see them and depending on the other inhabitants, he may be seen as food

yeah i had a reef lobster before that seemed like a model citizen. two of my chronies died and he was making quick work of them. I'm not entirely sure how they died, but I just felt uncomfortable having it around.

So for my peace of mind I caught it and stuck it in my sump. Eventually I felt bad leaving it there and I was able to pass it onto someone else. Unfortunately the arm broke off during that process but hopefully it heals up just fine.
