Is there a trigger that can live in a 55 gallon FOWLR?

Is that the same thing as a "Picasso" trigger? I have always loved the way those fish look...so if I got one for my 55 gallon, would he be the absolute max for my bio-load?

If you mean Rhinecanthus aculeatus, liveaquaria.com suggests a minimum tank size of 70g.

They list the Undulate Triggerfish (Balistapus undulatus) as okay for 50g, but sometimes they're optimistic.

I want to grow coralline algae too...would an Undulate Triggerfish eat it all?

I don't think so, although it will toss around live rock.

are they rare or hard to find in the aquarium market?

Check liveaquaria.com for availability. They list them, so they must have them at least some of the time.

Look what I found on a website:

"Diet: If it's edible, the undulate trigger will eat it.
Temperament: Mean as a mother-in-law on a bad visit. This is the meanest, most aggressive fish I've ever had the misfortune to have in a tank. If there are no other fish for it to bully, it will attack the live rock and decorations in the tank.
Sexing:
Breeding:
Special Care:
Other Comments: I have had the pleasure of having most of the available triggers, and have truly enjoyed all but one. I took my undulate trigger back after four days. If you value your tank, don't ever get one of these."

Yep, sounds like a lot of triggerfish stories. They all have different personalities, I guess, but triggerfish tend to be aggressive, from what I've read.
