filters for macro photographs?

does anyone use a filter for taking macro pics under actinic lighting? i have vho, 3 uri 50/50, and one super r actinic.

What kind of effects are you trying to achieve? That would allow people to answer your question better as in terms of what kind of filter would be helpful.

Only thing I can think of off the top of my head, that doesn't really relate to actinic lighting.. is to use a polarizing filter to minimize reflections and glare from your tank.
