salt mix =high ammonia?

This may, or may not be a stupid question. Can your salt mix bump up your ammonia? I have tested my tank, and a fresh sample of ro with salt. Both are at 1.5 ppm. Straight ro is zero. Any suggestions?

It shouldnt spike your ammonia from the salt unless something is wrong with the salt.
