masson, can you please tell me how to upload a picture to this site. the pictures from my digital are tiff format and I don't believe I can change them. I really want to know what this stuff is but if I can't put a picture up no one will know. the stuff on the rock? Looks like a sponge to me, but it is hard to tell from the pics.

I have some on my rocks (more of a yellow color) and they haven't done any harm. My biggest patch has actually turned into a pod haven!

Mine is totally white. I looked at melev's reef and saw something similar to it and said it was a sponge so I will let it go for now and see what happens. If anyone else has an opinion please let me know. The 3rd picture shows it better. Thanks
