should I dose trace elements and sort while cycling? or worry about that later when the tank gets more established?

Hey. Most of the suppliments vendors try to sell you are not needed. The main things are calcium, and maybe strontium. You might also look into kalkwasser later on down the road. Your salt mix will take care of other things for the most part. Always be sure to test for any suppliment you decide to add.

I wouldn't worry about it while your tank is cycling. Once you start adding fish,corals, or any other livestock, then you should start checking the levels.

Just make sure to do regular water changes and your trace elements should be fine.
