I'm trying to get this Gorilla Crab out of my tank. I've removed the Marshall Island LR which has tons of nooks and crannies and he is not there (believe me, I looked, flushed squirted). The 4 Emerald crabs and another small red crab of some type were found easily enough, but not the bad guy. I have some Fla LR in the bottom still which really doesn't have places to hide. I've turned them over and dont see him. Can he bury himself in the sandbed? He is the same color as sand so it would be hard to find him. I dont want to stir up the bottom and created a big sand cloud.

I think he's in the rock myself.

The best way to catch them is to make a bottle trap.

I'll have to go back to that. I tried the trap with no luck. I now have all of my LR out of the tank and he is nowhere to be found.

Those crabs can bore holes and tunnels through rock like a horta (http://www.70disco.com/startrek/horta.htm)
