Our cleaner shrimp (1 pair) have been in hiding the last few days. Last night after the lights went out I took a small mag-light with a red lens to the tank to see both cleaner shrimp. The abdomen on one looked full of "something" all of a sudden there were small shrimp being expelled from the abdomen and the other shrimp seemed to be gathering these small ones up and placing them in it's abdomen.(does this seem right?). Will the small ones make it (1 or 2) or is it going to be coral food? None the less it was very cool to see.

There is a lot of info on the internet about raising baby shrimp. I think this would be interesting to do sometime. Seems difficult and usually with no sucess. Worth a shot, Good luck.

I have a pir of peps that have clutch after clutch. I see little ones all the time in the sump and overflows, but haven't noticed any reaching larger than 3-4 mm in length. FWIW, it never hurts to have a constant supply of live food.
