I was watching monster house yesterday and they set up a 250 gallon tank in the house. They set it up in an hour or so. Then they pumped salt water from the ocean into it. They placed rock in there and they had corals and fish in less that 2 hours. How does this work ? And why has no one just done this?
Thanks
Masson

more and likely the corals, rock and fish came from a tank already set up and they removed them right after the taping. Do you know what episode it was?

i believe that the corals are fake, they will have major problems with the tank in the future..

It's TV magic- don't use it as your guide to setting up aquaria.

I'm sure everything was cycled and on standby, and I'm also sure that not everything survived the express installation.

If it was that easy everyone would have one.

I think there was a thread about this either here or on another board... the owner of the tank is actually a member of one of the boards. Really cool.

I think that this is scheduled to air again tomorrow, Dec 14th at 4:00 pm CST. I just happened to be checking the listings and clicked on Monster House and it says it's the "Under the Sea" edition.

I'll try to catch it if I can...
