What kind of algae is this growing on my sand?(pic)

it's only growing on my sand, nowhere else. what eats it? i have a bunch of snails in my tank, they dont touch it, have shrimp they dont touch it, have hermit crabs they also dont touch it. lemme know, thx.

I had the same problem a while back and one time I took/vaccum the surface of the sand. Those things when I touch it kinda feels like some kind of hair algae. After I vaccum my sandbed and it's now gone and hasn't come back anymore. So I am not too sure what that is but that's how I got rid of mine.
