I currently have a Aqua C hang on with the rio pump and prefilter on my 42 hex, my wife finally gave me permission :D to get a 75 gallon tank; I was wondering if this skimmer is large enough for a 75, can I upgrade the pump(mag-drive 3).

If neither one works can you give me a suggestion on a skimmer and pump under $250, and tell me how to hide it from the wife

I would try it with a mag 5 and see what happens if you have the drain kit on the collection cup.
