hi everybody. i was wondering if i got a dual 40watt hagen glow mat and ran 20watt bulbs on it would they be overdriven? i currently have a 30watt single hagen glowmat running a 20watt bulb and it shines brighter than the normal ones. is that one overdriven? also how much wattage of lighting is being output if the bulb is overdriven?

cheers

sorry i ment glo mat. its from hagen. heres a link to a dual 40watt unit http://www.aquaria.com.au/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/6558

so basicaly i want to know if i could overdrive 20watt bulbs using this because its suposed to have 40watt bulbs but it call also use 20watt bulbs. would this be overdriving the 20watt bulbs? and if so how much more intense would they be?

How about a hardy "I don't know". I assume the lower wattage bulb would be overdriven slightly.
