I have 250W icecap with reefoptix reflector and hamilton 14k double end. Can't seem to get it to work, but it does run my single ended AB 10k's. Is there a trick to inserting the bulbs? I haven't heard a click or anything, but I'm a little scared to push too hard.
Any help out there. Wiring is exactly like the single ended sockets, and I tried two different ballasts and two different reflcectors and bulbs.

You have a ROIII? If, so, adjust the brackets so the clips in the bulb line up. For whatever reasons bulb lengths can vary. Then push the bulb in. You gotta be firm

I'm sure it's all the way in now. What is the next step if it doesn't fire? I hooked my SE up and they worked fine, but the same wiring schematic withth DE doesn't work?
Any suggestions? It is a ROIII, Hamilton 14K and IC250.

I think there are some reported problems with that combo sometimes. Make sure things are well grounded. FWIW, I've fired up a hamilton DE with the IC before.

The forum finally cleared up enough for me to do searches. Used speaker wire to ground to the heat sink, and they worked.
Thanks for your help.
