Some sort of serpent star

Hi Dr ron ;
Here I am again with another " what's this " .
I know it's a serpent/brittle star of some sort.
Being that I have a BUNCH of these in the live rock , are they good or bad guys?
They must have come in on gulf rock. They live in holes in the rock,arms extend only at night.

Hi Cliff,

Other than an ophiuroid, I can't hazard a guess as to the identity.

Those ophiuroids that feed by extending their arms from holes are largely suspension-feeders and are generally harmless in tanks.
