Well, this is my second design.. the first one wasnt great but worked... This second one is a drop-in unit, so its portable and very very efficient... Check it out! Lots of pics and I already posted on cichlid-forum.com, so here's a link... Once I start building the aquariums more, I will just incorporate this system in the tanks...
Advantages:
Supreme filtration for any tank
Easy maintenance
Colored box (looks nicer than mine lol)
Inexpensive Wet/Dry system
NO hoses or plumbing
NO fear of overflowing and flooding
Disadvantages:
Takes up about 5-6 gallons of water volume in the tank (As a drop in unit).
When they are built into the tank they wont take up as much...
