Well, hopefully this pic will post. Picked up a small zoo frag and I am not sure what is going on with it. The "fleshy" part of the polyp (sorry can't think of the name just now) appears to be swollen. It is not fuzzy, like the fungus. A few of the areas are shown as "A".

There is also a cluster of sand/eggs...not sure which one. This is labeled "B". Seems to be imbedded in the polyp. It is not brushing off. Any ideas. Hopefully this will post.

TIA

That appears to be buds where new polyps are growning.

Ya think??? None of my other zoos do this, but maybe this one is different.

Any thoughts on the sand/eggs that I pointed to with the "B". They seem to be imbedded in the stalk of a few polyps?

Thanks again :)

"B" is really hard to tell by looking at the pic.

Chris is absolutely right about "A"
I guess that's why they are called sea mats.
It seems to me, Pinks have more visual buds than other colored zoas.

doesn't look like any buds i've seen...must be a "special" type..
